Associate Artist Membership
Who is Eligible?
- Women artists and artists who identify as women who draw, paint or sculpt
- Age: 18 years of age & up
- Location: living and working in the United States and Canada
Features of Associate Membership
- Eligible to apply for the annual National Museum Exhibition and Spring Online Juried Show
- Free AWA website member directory listing of your artist name and link to your professional artist website
- Opportunity to have awards and other art news promoted through AWA’s social media outlets
- Portfolio and peer mentoring review opportunities with Signature and Master-Signature members
- Virtual and in-person workshops on continuing education, best practices, business development and more
- Access to a private Facebook group for networking and support by and with fellow AWA members
Dues
$80/year, billed annually in November (dues are not pro-rated for mid-year memberships)
Associate with Distinction Membership
Who is Eligible?
Associate Members who have been juried into at least one AWA juried show:
- Spring Online Juried Show
- AWA’s National Museum Exhibition
Features of Associate with Distinction Membership
- Eligible to apply for the annual National Museum Exhibition and Spring Online Juried Show
- Free AWA website member directory listing of your artist name and link to your professional artist website
- Opportunity to have awards and other art news promoted through AWA’s social media outlets
- Portfolio review and peer mentoring opportunities with Signature and Master-Signature Members
- Virtual and in-person workshops on continuing education, best practices, business development and more
- Access to a private Facebook group for networking and support by and with fellow AWA members
Dues
$125/year, billed annually in November (dues are not pro-rated for mid-year memberships)
Signature Membership
Who is Eligible?
Associate with Distinction artists who have juried into at least three (3) AWA National Juried Exhibitions (Instagram Pop-Up Shows do not count toward Signature eligibility)
Features of Signature Membership
- May use the initials “AWA” after their signature
- Eligible to apply for the annual National Museum Exhibition
- Free AWA website member directory listing of your artist name and link to your professional artist website
- Opportunity to have awards and other art news promoted through AWA’s social media outlets
- Opportunity to provide mentorship to Associate and Associate with Distinction Members
- Virtual and in-person workshops on continuing education, best practices, business development and more
- Access to a private Facebook group for networking and support by and with fellow AWA members

Master-Signature
Membership
Who is Eligible?
Master-Signature membership is by invitation only. The exemplary work of a Master-Signature Member can be seen in museum exhibitions, fine art galleries, publications, and collections across the country. Women under consideration for Master-Signature Membership who are not AWA Members may be invited to show with AWA at the annual member exhibition as Guest Artists. Features of Master-Signature Membership
- May use the initials “AWA” after their signature
- Eligible to apply for the annual National Museum Exhibition
- Free bio with headshot and link to artist’s website on the AWA website
- Opportunity to have awards and other art news promoted through AWA’s social media outlets
- Opportunity to provide mentorship to Associate and Associate with Distinction Members
- Virtual and in-person workshops on continuing education, best practices, business development and more
- Access to a private Facebook group for networking and support by and with fellow AWA members
Dues
