Artist's Statement:
I’ve been painting for most of my life and through the years I have explored many different subject matter. With 20 years in Arizona, my love for the Grand Canyon State has truly grown. The study of skies and clouds has become my main focus as many of the Arizona Monsoon scenes come to life on my easel. The combination of the Grand Canyon and turbulent skies give me the unending inspiration of which much of my work consist. Being able to share my love of the land with collectors and viewers through my paintings is truly a blessing and a privilege.

Winning the Purchase Award has such enormous significance for me, it’s every artist’s dream to be in a museum and my work, Lee’s Ferry Landing, will be at the Tucson Desert Art Museum for as long as I live. I’m so thankful to the American Women Artists for that opportunity.”
