Artist's Statement:
I am captivated by ordinary scenes and objects. My paintings are drawn from my life experience and celebrate moments or memories. The ketchup bottle that I daily pulled out of the refrigerator when my sons were young. The road workers that worked so diligently on my street. Rain splashing on my windshield. Coke bottles and cans. Fallen leaves. Legos. They all become part of a life story on my canvases, as well as a story honoring daily life. It is my hope that people see the world a little differently because of my work.

Winning the Purchase Award has such enormous significance for me, it’s every artist’s dream to be in a museum and my work, Lee’s Ferry Landing, will be at the Tucson Desert Art Museum for as long as I live. I’m so thankful to the American Women Artists for that opportunity.”
