Artist's Statement:

I believe sculpture, like all art forms, can reflect the essence of beauty. Art can transcend thought and be felt by almost everyone with a sense of wonderment. There is no hidden message in my work, for the essence of beauty is the message that we are all human and connected to ourselves, each other, and the natural world. It is with my knowledge of my medium, my subjects, and my tools that I hope to portray this beauty.

Winning the Purchase Award has such enormous significance for me, it’s every artist’s dream to be in a museum and my work, Lee’s Ferry Landing, will be at the Tucson Desert Art Museum for as long as I live. I’m so thankful to the American Women Artists for that opportunity.”
