A full slate of fantastic artist demonstrations and talks have been scheduled during the 17th Annual Member Show & National Juried Competition Exhibition
at the Addison Art Gallery in Orleans, MA. These demos/artist talks are open to the public, as AWA members share their talents, knowledge, and experiences as artists.
AWA’s 17th Annual Master & Signature Member Show & National Juried Competition Exhibition opens August 15th at the Addison Art Gallery in Orleans, Massachusetts. All attending exhibiting artists are invited to a Meet & Greet Welcome Reception at the gallery on Thursday evening, Aug. 14th, from 6:00-8:00pm.
The Awards Ceremony & Breakfast for exhibiting artists will be held at the gallery on Friday, Aug. 15th from 8:30 – 10:00am, with the Awards Ceremony starting at 9:15am, after which the exhibit officially opens to the public.
An opening reception will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16th, from 4:00-7:00pm.
The entire exhibit will be juried for awards by Erin Coe, Chief Curator for the Hyde Collection, Glens Falls, NY. This year’s prize packages total almost $30,000, with the Best of Show prize package valued at $9500 (which includes a $3000 cash award). Our Masters and Signatures Member Show will be judged for Gold, Silver, and Bronze placings in both membership levels; prize packages in those categories have increased significantly this year as well, after AWA introduced awards at these levels at last year’s exhibition to recognize our valuable Master and Signature members.
These awards would not have been made possible without the generosity of our show sponsors.
As a non-profit arts organization dedicated to encouraging, promoting and presenting the work of women artists at the national level, AWA relies on the support of its sponsors to accomplish this mission.
