AWA has confirmed three accomplished women in the arts who will select the finalists and award winners for the 2022 Spring Online Juried Show!

Sarah B. Cunningham | Selection & Awards Juror

Sarah B. Cunningham is the owner of Walker-Cunningham Fine Art, a private art consulting and brokerage business specializing in American and European paintings 1850-present. She has been in the art business for 23 years and clients include major museums, institutions, corporations, and private collectors. Sarah has broad experience and expertise in sales and acquisition, appraisal, consulting, curating, and art collection management. A Virginia native, Sarah grew up in Rhode Island, attended Duke University and Rhode Island School of Design and spent 16 years as a gallery manager and owner in Boston before relocating to St. Louis in 2015.

Gabriela Gámez | Selection & Awards Juror

Gabriela grew up in Mexico City near the National Museum of Anthropology and the Museo de Arte Moderno, inheriting a passion for collecting Latin American Art from her parents. After a successful career in architecture in Mexico City, Gabriela was the Curatorial Assistant for Latin American Art at the San Antonio Museum of Art. As direct liaison between SAMA, Mexico, Latin America, and Spain, Gabriela coordinated exhibitions and oversaw the collection of 7,000 pieces including folk art, works by modern and contemporary masters, and Spanish colonial collections. Gabriela became an Independent Researcher, Consultant and Curator of Latin American Art in 2018.

Kimberly Garner| Selection & Awards Juror

Kim is Director of Culture and Community Impact at the El Capitan Hotel, Mainzer Theater, & The Tioga at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. She previously served as Executive Director of Arts at the University of California Merced campus overseeing campus visual arts initiatives and public arts programs. Prior to UC Merced, Kim managed exhibitions and programming for the UC Berkeley Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology, Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, Fresno Metropolitan Museum, and San Diego Historical Society museums. She is a fourth-generation Californian and holds a B.A. and M.A. in Art from Fresno State.
