The Latest from American Women Artists

Carrie Waller Abundance

Our Annual Member Show and National Juried Exhibition at Bonner David Galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona closed on November 30, with 15 works by our talented artists sold. The show, featuring paintings and sculpture by talented women artists from all over the United States and Canada, marked the 25th Anniversary for American Women Artists – that’s 25 years of inspiration, celebration, and encouragement of women in the visual fine arts.

Our Anniversary Celebration included three days of workshops taught by Master Signature and Signature Members in partnership with the Scottsdale Artists School and AWA’s new program, an educational symposium held at the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts featuring a full slate of speakers who gave presentations topical to the perspective of women artists. All the presentations in the 2015 Symposium are available to watch online for free by visiting our Youtube channel.

In addition, a special Awards Ceremony celebrating the exhibit and honoring AWA’s founding members, Arizona painter Joni Falk and Texas artist Donna Howell-Sickles, was hosted by Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.

The 15 pieces that sold during this year’s show are:
