AWA Membership
A three-tier membership structure is designed to nurture and mentor women artists at any level of experience and proficiency.
The entry level supporting membership is open to any person, male or female that is interested in supporting women in the visual arts.
AWA Membership
The AWA membership structure is open to women after they have been juried into three of our Juried Competition Shows or by invitation.
The Supporting Membership level has been eliminated effective May 15, 2009.
Those with paid memberships, having either renewed or joined between Oct 1, 2008 and May 15, 2009 will not have to pay any entry fees for this year’s National Juried Competition. Everyone must pay the jury fees regardless of membership status.

Signature Membership is open to women only who have been juried into at least three AWA National Juried Competition Shows and after a digital portfolio review by Master Signature Members. In addition, it is preferred that you show in a national gallery and have been juried into the professional level of another national competition or been invited into a national museum show. Master Signature Membership is by invitation only. Master Signature member’s work may be seen in national art sales, museum exhibitions, nationally recognized galleries, publications and collections across the country. Many potential Master Signature members are invited to show with the group at the annual show as guest artists. Nominations are made by current Master Signature Members and invitations extended shortly after the annual show.
